KEEPER OF TIME
Drawing inspiration from early to mid-20th century Ethiopian stamps, this project seeks to intertwine history and revive forgotten narratives. The striking use of primary colors on a black canvas symbolizes a journey of self-discovery, carving through the unknown to illuminate overlooked moments of Black Excellence. The black background serves as a reminder that history is something we must actively explore and reflect upon in order to better understand ourselves. The incorporation of lines reflects a desire to quantify art—my work aims to transform the expansive, subjective world of artistic expression into something tangible and measurable.
